If you have been out of the high school basketball loop, Andrew Wiggins has reclassified himself from the Class of 2014 to the Class of 2013.

Although many school are excited to hopefully land the No. 1 ranked player, FSU rolled out the red carpet for him on his official visit this week.

Wiggins obviously can play at any school, but many believe that FSU needs him the most. FSU has not had a star player in years and Wiggins may be the first one.

Wiggins visited FSU during their game against rival Florida. The visiting Florida trumped FSU 72-47, with Wiggins watching from courtside.

In an effort to get Wiggins to Tallahassee, a row of female FSU students wore shirts that spelled out “We Want Wiggins”. Others carried signs that read “FSU Has Hotter Girls” and “Seminoles Hunt Wildcats”, in reference to the former NCAA champions Kentucky.

Although FSU is on Wiggin’s short list of schools, I believe he FSU is not for him. He is a very talented player and deserves to go to a better school. If I was Wiggins I would go to North Carolina.

North Carolina is a top basketball program in the NCAA and is coached by a great coach in Roy Williams. North Carolina recently won the championship in 2009 and have four more championships under the belt. In Williams 10th year coaching the school, he’s accumulated a 261-68 record.

North Carolina is also known for turning high school stars in NBA superstars. In the past, the Tar Heels have turned NBA veteran Vince Carter and Hall of Famer Michael Jordan into NBA legends.
