College Basketball Recruiting: Nation's Best Square off Saturday Night

Four of the nation’s top recruits will be playing in two different games at the Cancer Research Classic Saturday night televised on ESPN2 and ESPNU.

At 5 p.m. CT on ESPN2 Montverde Academy (FL), led by the top center Dakari Johnson and number two point guard Kasey Hill will take on the nation’s second overall recruit Jabari Parker and his Simeon Academy (IL) team.

Although Johnson has not committed yet, he has been playing at a very high level this season and is one of the reasons why Montverde is one of the top teams in the country. The other reason is his teammate Hill, who signed his letter of intent to the Florida Gators back on November 14th. Parker on the other hand is finally starting to play at a high level after suffering a foot injury in the offseason. Parker has committed to the Duke Blue Devils.

The other game pits Gonzaga (D.C.) against Salesian (CA) at 7 p.m. CT on ESPNU. Gonzaga is a great team that scored a great win against Paul VI earlier in the season. Salesian on the other hand is led by Cal Bears recruit and four-star shooting guard Jabari Bird.

Predictions are what you want? Well ask and you shall receive.

In the first game, I believe Parker will show everyone that he is back from that foot injury that has been nagging him. With that said, Johnson will prove to be too much in the middle as Montverde scores the win. As for the second game, Bird and his Salesian will be too much for Gonzaga and will come away with the victory.
