Semi Ojeleye, a 6-foot-8 senior at Ottawa (Kan.), led the Cyclones with 57 points in a 77-30 win over Paola (Kan.). It isn’t his first time lighting up the scoreboard either; earlier this season, Ojeleye scored a career-high 58 points.

“My teammates got me involved and I just had my stroke that day,” Ojeleye told bluedevilnation.net. “I just thank God because it was just one of those times when everything just clicked.”

Ojeleye was named to the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Performances of the Week list as a result. The other players on that list include Justin Coleman and Emmanuel Mudiay.

Ojeleye has tons of potential and the rich just get richer on the Duke Blue Devils. Duke landed the coveted Jabari Parker out of Simeon Academy in the last month as well. Imagining what Ojeleye and Parker will be able to do on the court is just tantalizing. Ojeleye’s older brother goes to Kansas State and has helped talk Semi through the recruiting process and what he needs to be prepared for at the college level.

“Yeah, he’s been a good big brother to me. He’s gone through the whole thing and he’s taught me how much more physical it is and how rigorous it is and how I have to keep getting my body in better shape.”

Ojeleye will be a nice complement to Parker and can be a bruiser down low, while Parker breaks his man down with the ball in his hands. Ojeleye probably won’t ever score 57 point while at Duke, but the threat of it will keep defenses honest.
