A few days ago, 4 star offensive tackle Nico Falah had an in-home visit with Chip Kelly. You know what happened next; Kelly accepted the job as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and many Oregon recruits are expected to reconsider their commitment in the next few weeks.

Falah tweeted his apparent surprise at the news of Kelly taking the job with the Eagles.

““@NicoFalah: Chip Kelly left?!?! He was at my house 2 days ago”

The Ducks are apparently still in the running though, because Kelly did prepare Falah for the possibility that he might not be there.

“I’m still considering them,” Falah said. “He told me if he leaves one of the current coaches will take his spot so Oregon is an option.”

The rumors have been that Oregon offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich could succeed Kelly as head coach, but the school has made no announcements on that front yet. They will probably take their time to make sure they get the coach who will be the best fit.

Kelly apparently did not tell Falah specifically which coach would take his place.

“He didn’t say exactly,” Falah said. “Just one of the staff members.”

Falah also recently had a positive visit to the Washington Huskies, but his recruitment could be over by the weekend. The St. John Bosco offensive tackle is making his official visit to USC, and my gut tells me that eventually he will roll with the Trojans.
