A Closer Look at Boston College's Committed Basketball Recruits

Boston College has had a rough start to their ACC season. So what does that mean? Let’s take a look at the future for the Eagles, since the present isn’t too bright.

They have three recruits committed to attend the school next year, and all three can bring different things to the table. The weakness of the team at the moment is definitely defense. There is a little bit of help coming with two small forwards in the class next year, but the Eagles could stand to add a post player as well.

The Eagles first new player is a transfer from Notre Dame. His name is Alex Dragicevich (6-foot-7 SF) and he is sitting out this year so he can play for the Eagles. That must be welcome news to the team. He has a smooth shooting stroke and has even been able to practice with the team this year, so he should start next year in rhythm.

Garland Owens (6-foot-5 SF) is the next new player for the Eagles. Owens will be a force for the team on the fast break; he is one of the most athletic players in his class, but is still a little raw as far as basketball ability on offense. Defensively he will be a great help and can guard three positions.

The last new player so far committed to the Eagles is Sam Donahue (6-foot-1 SG), who is a recruited walk-on. He is apparently one of the best shooting guards in the Northeast and got some mid major interest, but wanted to be at a bigger school. One thing’s for sure, the Eagles will need all the help they can get next year.
