Four Star DE Jason Hatcher II De-commits From USC Trojans
The USC Trojans have had a pretty rough year. After starting the year ranked number one, Matt Barkley failed to lead USC to the national title game they had been hoping for after missing out on the post-season last year due to infractions. They took another hit recently.
Jason Hatcher II, a four star DE, recommitted from the Trojans. He is not the first recruit to do so either; he is actually the sixth recruit (wow) this year to de-commit from the Trojans. He announced his intentions on twitter.
“I official de-committed from USC #WideOpen
— Jason A. Hatcher II (@ROCK_NATION_6)”
The tweet has since been removed, but his intentions remain the same.
Coach Lane Kiffin has got to be hurting right now. Hatcher should be a quality college football player and it is looking like the Trojans are going to have a rough 2013-14 season. Hatcher is the type of defensive end who can stop running backs from using the sidelines and force them to run in between the tackles. Hatcher also has enough speed to be a threat in the pass-rush as well.
He could potentially be an outside line backer at the college level; it will depend on how much weight his coaches decided they want him to pack on. They probably don’t want him to gain too much, because it is his speed off the line that is what makes him a great pass rushing threat.
Tough break for the Trojans.
