Top 2014 Recruit Jabrill Peppers CB Prospect Profile
Jabrill Peppers is the third rated CB in the 2014 college football recruiting class according to Scout.com. He measures in at 6 feet tall and 190 pounds out of Paramus Catholic High School (Paramus, NJ) .
His superman pose at :48 into the below video exemplifies the type of confidence Peppers plays with, although at times it comes across as bad sportsmanship. Heck if Cam Newton is doing it though, it is hard to say young players should leave that stuff to the pros.
Peppers’ interception (1:57) in his highlight reel is a thing of beauty; he has an incredible combination of agility, speed, and body control that project to make him an elite cornerback in college football’s 2014 season. It is really not advisable to throw the ball to Peppers’ side of the field, because you might not get it back.
He can also be a kick returner at the college level and has such great speed that he is always a threat to take the ball to the house. (2:50) That type of ability to impact the game on both defense and to be able to rack up special teams’ yardage will make Peppers one of the most hotly recruited prospects in the country next year. His game is already college ready, and it will be thrilling to see Peppers returning punts and snagging interceptions in 2014. We’ll all just have to wait and see where that happens to be.
