Quentin Richardson attended Whitney Young (Chicago, IL) in high school back in the day and then attended my alma mater DePaul University for college. He recently tweeted his congratulations to Jahlik Okafor and his Whitney Young teammates for taking home the city title.

Okafor still has DePaul on his list, although it would shock me if he went to school there. He has said in the past that he would love to play with Tyus Jones at the next level. DePaul is not on Jones’ shortlist, which is not exactly a surprise at all. Maybe Richardson can put in a good word about DePaul to Okafor, although the program is vastly different now then it was when Richardson attended.
What’s next for Whitney Young? Richardson is hoping for a state title.

We’ll see if Okafor can deliver on Richardson’s hope and take Whitney Young to even more glory. One thing’s for sure, winning state would be a fitting ending to a phenomenal year by Okafor.
