5 Star SF Jalen Lindsey Prospect Profile

Peter G. Aiken-USA TODAY Sports

Jalen Lindsey has a chance to be a special player. His smooth jumper in the first play of this highlight reel shows the smoothness of his game, and I have to say I love the motion of his jumper; he is already a very mechanically sound player. His dunk at the :30 mark also show how explosive he can be attacking the rim. He throws down an alley-lop at the :54 mark, and he shows nice touch in the lane as well. He is an aggressive rebounder and he appears to only really take shots when they are fully in rhythm, which will please whoever his college coach ends up being.

He even shows some defensive prowess at the 2:50 mark of the video and if he can continue to develop his shot blocking ability and perimeter defense, then he could be a hugh impact player at the next level. Those should be the main areas of work for Lindsey, and if he improves those areas and his ball handle then he will be scary good.

He comes out of Christ Presbyterian Academy (Nashville, TN), and measures in at 6-foot-6 and 180 pounds; according to Scout he is the seventh ranked small forward in the country and is rated five stars at his position. Lindsey’s game is already very well developed for his age, and if he continues working hard, then the future is bright for this young man.
