4 Star Wide Receiver Marshon Lattimore Prospect Profile

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Wide receiver Marshon Lattimore is an extremely elusive player. He has an awesome vertical leap that allows him to go over the top of his defenders as a deep threat in the passing game.

His kick return at the 1:00 mark of the video below shows how he can break a play for huge yardage if you let him get away. He has a tendency to try and reverse sides of the field that will probably not work at the college level, but it sure looks pretty when it works. He is a heads up player though as you can see at the 2:00 mark of the video, when he picks up a loose fumble and runs it for over 40 years.

He makes a beautiful move to the outside edge at 2:40 in this highlight reel, and he will be a welcome addition to whatever team he ends up playing for.

Lattimore measures in at six feet tall and 175 pounds out of Glenville High School (Cleveland, OH). It will be interesting to see whether he is used as a wide receiver or cornerback at the next level. He does not have ideal height for the receiver position, but he is such a threat with the ball in his hands, that he might be used as a slot receiver and then also return punts and kicks.

That might be the best use of his talent, but we will see how creative his next coach can be with his unique talents.
