Caleb Henderson is a bruiser of a quarterback standing at 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds out of Lake Braddock Secondary High School (Burke, VA). Way to hold it down for Virginia high school football Henderson.
He is a young player with a strong arm, and good decision making ability. He is wise to work on his footwork and speed this offseason, and he shows in this full highlight video the ability to both run and throw. He shows a nice ability to run the ball in the first clip of this reel. He is not highlighted specifically on every play, but he is number 6 in the white jersey. He throws an unfortunate pick at 1:20, and I actually like watching these full game highlight reels, because you get more of a sense of how the player bounces back from a disappointing play.
His touchdown throw at 2:00 shows he is capable of focusing on on the next play instead of letting his mistakes haunt him. Henderson is the third ranked quarterback in the class according to Scout.com and is currently undecided .
He throws a smart little outside route at 3:30 left and that is when this really becomes his game. Henderson has another bruising run at 4:40 and if he can improve his speed and footwork at the next level, then we could be looking at Ben Roethlisberger 2.0. According to Scout.com during his junior season, Henderson threw for 2,500 yards and 23 touchdowns. He also accounted for 600 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
