The UNC Tar Heels Need A Win Tomorrow to Convince Andrew Wiggins to Come
Adam Zagoria of Zagsblogs.com wrote an excellent article about Andrew Wiggins and Rashad Vaughan’s upcoming visit to the Chapel Hill and the North Carolina Tar Heels, and it got me thinking about what a huge game this will be for the Heels if they can somehow grind out a victory.
“I’m definitely looking forward to visiting that weekend,” Wiggins told SNY.tv exclusively recently. “It’s a great rivalry and two great schools.”
This is huge for the Heels who desperately need another quality wing player to add to the mix next year.
Wiggins has already visited Florida State and Kentucky, but he has not tipped his hand in any particular direction. He is still looking for the moment he feels truly comfortable. Wouldn’t a rousing underdog victory over the Duke Blue Devils be just what the doctor ordered and show Wiggins the mania that would ensue if he won in the baby blue?
“I haven’t found it yet, so I am just waiting for that moment that will convince me it’s the right place,” Wiggins said to SNY.tv.
All right Heels. It’s your moment; this is about more than just one rivalry basketball game over your hated enemies. This is about the future of the program. If you want to be able to compete with the recruits Duke has coming in the next couple years (namely Jabari Parker), then you need to land Andrew Wiggins. There is really no other option at this point.
Get it done.
