Tyus Jones Will Be Very Enjoyable to Watch In College

Here’s why I love five star point guard Tyus Jones’ game; Jones has true basketball IQ. It’s that sense of where to go on the court, what play to run, when to push it inside and when to look for your own shot. Jones has all of that in spades.

His shooting skill combined with that IQ make him extremely efficient in the court and he will beat you either by out thinking you or out maneuvering you. He forces the defense to commit one way or the other and then he takes advantage. He also routinely switches on the either team’s best perimeter defender in the second half of games. His speed makes him a one man fast break, and a terror to teams when they turn the ball over. He is currently the number two ranked player in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class, and he will push his friend, Jahlil Okafor, for the top spot in the coming year. It should be interesting to see if they end up at the same school.

Jones will completely take over what ever college team he plays for and they will play with his identity like a good team picks up identity from their coach. I just can’t wait to watch this young man play, and I believe the future of basketball is in truly good hands.
