Breaking Down Andrew Wiggins BallisLife Video

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

This young man has serious ability, which is almost as obvious as saying the earth is round. It is not hard to see why Andrew Wiggins is the top rated player in the country after watching this video. He has a smooth handle and he plays the game with a ferocity that is unmatched at his level. His jump shot at 1:00 gives you a sense of the type of player that Wiggins can develop into. Wiggins will be present at the McDonald’s All American Game, where he will face off against Jabari Parker for one of the last times in their high school careers.

His alley-oop catch at 2:06 will be a regular occurrence at the college level. His ferocity when he dunks is one of my favorite attributes that Wiggins possess. He has a great spin dribble move that he utilizes tat the 2:30 mark of the above video. He is as talented as any recruit I’ve seen when it comes to finishing in the lane and that is the quality that will make him a quality pro player one day.

Now, I’m just hoping he ends up on the North Carolina Tar Heels, but after their horrible loss to Duke with Wiggins in attendance, that may end up being a pipe dream. The last hope is that he saw the butt-whooping and decided that he wants to be the one to turn the tide for the Heels.
