Malik Pope has a game that is really fun to watch on tape; he will be a star at the college level and I can’t wait to watch him play. He does a between the legs dunk at :15 that is just poetry in motion. He routinely finishes plays strongly above the rim, and is difficult to slow down on the break. He makes a stepback jumper as well at :50 that shows how he can spread the floor with his range.

His pink sneakers are pretty sweet too as a side note. His ball handling at 1:20 shows how his game will continue to develop; when his handle gets to the next level, then his game will rise accordingly Pope has not yet committed, but he has the confidence and talent to succeed at the college level. He has the complete package; the only area that he could work on would be his midrange jumper, but if he can get it to the level of his three pointer, then he will be a scary player indeed.

Pope is the fourth ranked small forward in the 2014 recruiting class according to Scout and he measures in at 6-foot-7 and 183 pounds out of Laguna Creek High School (Elk Grove, CA); let’s just see who he is lighting the scoreboard up for in college.
