Recently noticed that the great Adam Zagoria gave some thoughts on Aaron Gordon announcing he will reveal his college decision at the McDonald’s All American Game.
The game is on April 3rd at the United Center. The 6-foot-9 forward’s final four list includes: Arizona, Kentucky, Oregon and Washington. John Calipari can’t possibly pull this off again can he?

“Yes, he’s kind of had a good idea when he was going to do it and he’s letting everybody know it’s during the McDonald’s Game,” Arcbishop Mitty head coach Tim Kennedy told SNY.tv.

Gordon’s team plays against Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA) with the state title on the line on Saturday. Gordon has been compared to Blake Griffin by some scouts. He has close to Griffin’s level of athleticism and as far as basketball IQ, he is much further along there than Griffin was at his age.

“He’s gonna be an ultimate competitor,” Kennedy said. “Just watching him in this playoff run we’re making right now he refuses to let his team lose. He’s a big-time competitor who loves to play and just keeps getting better.”

That’s the kind of thing scouts and college head coaches love to hear; let’s see if John Calipari will work his usual magic or if he lets some of the scraps fall to the other elite college basketball programs.
