Apple Valley PG Tyus Jones On Road To First State Title

Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

Tyus Jones and his Apple Valley (Apple Valley, MN) team have the number one seed in the Minnesota Class 4A playoff bracket; best of luck to Jones as he tries to win his first state title. Something tells me he is going to pull if off. Jones is the number two ranked player in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class; he trails only his good friend, Jahlil Okafor. Okafor’s season was recently ended by Jabari Parker and the Simeon Academy Wolverines the Illinois 4A state playoffs. Okafor and Jones have both stated publicly that they would like to play together in college, but it remains to be seen whether that is a likely possibility or not.
