Andrew Wiggins Might Pick Kansas Jayhawks After Their Win Over North Carolina Tar Heels

Rob Foldy-USA TODAY Sports

The North Carolina Tar Heels had a chance over the weekend to prove to Andrew Wiggins that he should join their squad. They came up short instead and their season sadly ended earlier than they wanted it to.

The Kansas Jayhawks rolled over the Heels in the second half and it could end up being crucial to their recruitment of the stud forward. The Jayhawks have now beaten Roy Williams three times in three tries since he left. Both teams are on Wiggins’ final list, but it remains to be seen whether the game will have an effect on where he attends college. Wiggins has been famously shy about his recruitment and does not relish the national media attention.

Wiggins is having a fantastic year; he was named Gatorade Player of the Year in West Virginia and he will be up for the national award as well. He will also be playing in the McDonald’s All American game on April 3rd. The game will be in Chicago at the United Center and you can bet that I will be there to see some of the best young basketball talent in the country.

Wiggins does not seem to be any closer to making his decision, but you can bet that Rant Sports will be locked into it when he does.
