Julius Randle’s long awaited decision was made, and he can now exhale a little bit before the hype machine starts next year. Randle committed to the Kentucky Wildcats and he wrote about that as well as what he is looking forwward to on his USATodayhss.com blog.

“What’s up everybody, I’m officially a part of Big Blue Nation.
I’m so happy that this is all over. Now I can get back to focusing on basketball and getting better. No more coaches calling and texting all the time, no more media asking the same questions over and over, just school and basketball. I love it!” Randle wrote.

Randle’s addition to the Wildcats recruiting class has some talking heads calling it the best class of all time even over the “Fab Five”. Jalen Rose even wondered if they will start five freshman next year. Heck, they could have all freshman in a seven man rotation if Andrew Wiggins ends up committing as well.

I’ll be seeing quite a few Kentucky commits at the McDonald’s All American game on April 3rd and will try to get some photos for my readers as well. The next recruiting decision to happen will be Aaron Gordon at that game. Andrew Wiggins could potentially follow after that. Let’s see if John Calipari has one more recruiting coup up his sleeve.
