Gatorade released a new commercial this morning featuring Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade; you can check it out below and it is quite a good one.

This is a pretty fun spot in my book. I watched it with a friend yesterday and after seeing it he said “it’s like a movie”. That is what I enjoy most about Gatorade spots. They usually try to tell a whole story even if it is only a sixty or thirty second spot.
“Gatorade knows that athletes run on a particular kind of fuel – their own determination plus what they put in their bodies to get to the next level and perform at their best. ‘Fixation’ brings this to life with a relatable star who is one of the most driven in the NBA, Kevin Durant, as he works hard to fuel, train and mentally prepare himself for the next game,” Gatorade released. “The ad also features Dwyane Wade a handful of NBA player cameos.”
Durant will probably go down as the best basketball player ever from my hometown DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia), so you know I will always have love for him. I had the good fortune of seeing him play during a lockout game last year, and he did not disappoint in a shoot out with John Wall.
This commercial could end up being prophetic for one of the two players depending who gets out of the Conference Finals. Thanks again to the folks at Gatorade and best of luck to Dwyane Wade tonight in Chicago.
