Florida Gulf Coast Commit Jordan Neff Says Eagles Have “Real Fun Playing Style”

Richard Rowe-USA TODAY Sports

Georgia area high school basketball star Jordan Neff didn’t know much about Florida Gulf Coast University when they offered him a scholarship this year.

He is heading there next year though and he is very excited; the rest of the country is just finding out what he already knew.

“It’s a real fun playing style. It’s fun to watch, the way they play hard,” he said. “I will fit in good there.”

Nobody knew who the Eagles were before last week, but now Neff gets noticed when he wears the school’s gear. Their high flying style is something that will fit Neff well and maybe we’ll be seeing him in the NCAA tournament next year. We’ll just have to see if the Eagles have another run in them.

“Today, when I walked around with the hoodie on, everybody knows what those letters stand for,” Neff said.

Neff committed because he liked head coach Andy Enfield.

“The day he got the job, he emailed me and offered me a scholarship, and I wasn’t too interested at first it was so far away and I never heard of it before,” Neff said.

His mind changed though when he got to know Enfield and his “fun style”. Something tells me we have not heard the last of Andy Enfield or Florida Gulf Coast University.

Watch HS Hoops Coach Headbutt Referee

There is absolutely no excuse for this to happen ever. During an argument about a call, Neshaminy (Pa.) high school basketball coach Jerry Devine decided it would be a good idea to headbutt the referee to prove his point. Devine was then ejected from the gym and could now face criminal charges for his actions as well as losing his teaching and coaching job.
