Aaron Gordon, MVP of McDonald’s All American Game, Could Be MVP of Jordan Brand Classic Too

Richard Rowe-USA TODAY Sports

Archbishop Mitty’s power forward Aaron Gordon was named MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game Wednesday night in Chicago and led the West to a 110-99 victory over the East. Gordon had over 7 dunks in the game and was showing some serious game above the rim. It makes you see why so many scouts compare him to a young Blake Griffin.

“It was really great. I’ve been watching all the players come up through the McDonald’s All-American game and to finally get here and go through the process of it all. Each practice, each shootaround, just the scrimmaging, it means a lot, I can come out here and compete with all the best players,” Gordon said.

Could he take home the MVP for the Jordan Brand Classic too?

It is a definite possibility. The two guys who stand in the way are probably Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins. They will both want to make a statement at the game this weekend since neither was named MVP of the McDonald’s Game. It should be an intense battle on Saturday night at the Barclay’s Center, and I’m really looking forward to seeing who brings home MVP honors. Until that time stay tuned in to Rant Sports prep for more pre and post coverage of the game. My money is on Wiggins to take home MVP.
