Findlay Prep PG Nigel Williams-Goss Success Comes From Immense Preparation

Rant Sports- Dave Daniels

Nigel Williams-Goss recently capped off the Jordan Brand Classic with a late steal and a couple clutch late free throws to ice the game.

Williams-Goss impressed me greatly at the National High School Invitational in Bethesda, Maryland. Even though his Findlay Prep team lost in the semifinals, Williams-Goss was the consummate floor general. Findlay had won the tournament in two out of the last four years and Williams-Goss ended his high school career with only seven losses. He missed a three pointer off the back rim that would have tied the game, but his coach said he would have wanted Williams-Goss to shoot that ball 100 times out of 100.

It will be intriguing to see how Williams-Goss’ game translates to the college level, but something tells me he will be just fine. The jump to the pros might be a bit more difficult for him, but let us cross that bridge when we come to it. For now, let’s just sit back and admire a truly marvelous high school career.
