Eammon Brennan recently did a chat on ESPN that had to do with recruitment and one of the chat members came up with this awesome nickname for Andrew Wiggins.
Chat wrapped. We settled on nickname for Andrew Wiggins: “Ender.” Or “Prof. Dr. Charles Winston McBatman.” Both good! es.pn/15LJKHf

I previously wrote that it was kind of a fantastic coincidence that Wiggins had the same name as the protagonist of “Ender’s Game”, which happens to be a favorite book of mine. Kudos to Brennan there!
Also, I want to say I tried my best not to get personal on my response to the Wiggins piece this morning. I realize that sportswriters sometimes have to come up with ideas when ideas are not there. But when I see a piece like that getting major traffic and Twitter attention, then I cannot sit back and watch it happen without a response piece.
I tried not to get personal and keep it to the facts.
It was the “drama-king” comment that rubbed me the wrong way. I chatted with Wiggins the morning he received the Gatorade Player of the Year award and the last thing that occurred to me after listening to that interview was that he was a drama king. Read the piece below by the great Jason Jordan if you don’t believe me.
Canceled the visits and you STILL think Andrew Wiggins is doing this for attention? May wanna read this: usatodayhss.com/news/article/a…
