Make no mistake about it Tar Heel Nation has been paying attention. We watched how James Michael McAdoo struggled as the go to scorer last year; we’ll also been keeping track of our rivals down the road as well as the recruiting class John Calipari. We all know what we need to contend for a national title next year and it is Andrew Wiggins. He is the missing piece, and if he doesn’t join the team, then it will be an uphill battle for the Heels next year.

Some have said that commit Joel Berry needs to exert his influence over Wiggins, but something tells me that Wiggins will be making this decision on his own. Possibly with some input from his parents, but still on his own.

Wiggins is a wildcard; he has kept his information sealed in house and so no one truly knows if he is leaning in any particular direction. Just know this; if the Tar Heels land Wiggins, then it is game on next year. We’ll just have to see what the Gatorade Player of the Year does.
