Kudos to the Louisville Courier-Journal for breaking the Andrew Wiggins’s silence. It was quite a deafening silence and the relief here at Rant Sports Prep is very high.
It seems like there may finally be an end in sight.
Andrew Wiggins’ host mom Lesley Thomas just told me real mom Marita Wiggins will come to WV for announcement, “within the next week or so.”

Apparently the relief of the decision will not be narrowed to just Wiggins’ fans. The decision has been a great weight upon his shoulders as he balances all the factors of his decision.
“I know for him,” Wiggins’ West Virgina host mom Lesley Thomas said to the Louisville Courier Journal. “he’s just ready to get the decision over with.”
Kudos to Adam Himmelsbach for breaking this story; he also reported the Wiggins’ mother will be going to West Virginia “sometime in the next week or so” according to Wiggins’ host mom.
Congratulations to Wiggins; he has been bombarded with questions throughout this process and he has never tipped his hand. He deserves his privacy and I applaud the young man for having a distinct idea between public information and private information. His parents should be quite proud as well and we will all look forward to hearing where Wiggins eventually ends up. We’ll most likely know within the next week… or so.
