Speedy Noil: Top Athlete In The Class Of 2014

Brett Davis – USA TODAY Sports

Speedy Noil is widely regarded as the top athlete in the nation. While he lines up at quarterback for the Edna Karr High School Cougars, it has already been pretty much decided that just about every big name school that is after him will want him at either wide receiver or running back, or some combination position.

He is a deadly threat on the field, and is mainly at quarterback just to get the ball into his hands as soon as the play begins. He finished last season with 2,235 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, 1,345 rushing yards, 20 rushing touchdowns, and 18 receptions for 248 yards and three touchdowns — as only a junior. This season, he may line up more at receiver to show the scouts what they want to see, and there is no questioning this kid’s talent.

The Edna Karr Cougars are the preseason no. 7 team in the country by and are coming off a 14-0, Louisiana Class 4A High School Football Championship season. They return their star Noil and fellow blue-chip football recruits Gerald Willis III and Donnie Alexander, who are defensive players. The Cougars will undoubtedly look to repeat as state champions.

Noil is coveted by many teams in the country, but it seems that LSU and Texas A&M are the two leading schools to get a commitment from him. While the Tigers are rumored by some to land Noil, it can be said that he may be swayed to the Aggies due to the fact that former teammate, cornerback Noel Ellis, is an incoming freshman at A&M.

It will be interesting to see what happens to Noel both on and off the field this season.

Watch HS Hoops Coach Headbutt Referee

There is absolutely no excuse for this to happen ever. During an argument about a call, Neshaminy (Pa.) high school basketball coach Jerry Devine decided it would be a good idea to headbutt the referee to prove his point. Devine was then ejected from the gym and could now face criminal charges for his actions as well as losing his teaching and coaching job.
