Andrew Wiggins Passing On Canadian U-19 Squad Opens Up Playing Time

Andrew Wiggins recently passed up an opportunity to join the Canadian U-19 squad in order to better prepare for his freshman season with the Kansas Jayhawks.

Wiggins will apparently be headed to Lexington sometime later this week and then he will begin to prepare for a freshman season that will be full of expectations. Wiggins carried himself with class last year, and I am excited to see what kind of numbers he is capable of putting up next year. He will definitely be the leading scorer on the team and will likely assume most of the ball handling duties.

Wiggins ultimately made the right decision; Canadian basketball will be there for him down the road, and I’m sure they will welcome him back with open arms even if they were disappointed about his decision.
