Kentucky Wildcats Commit Julius Randle Compared to LeBron James

Mark Zerof – USA TODAY Sports

Recently saw the below piece about Julius Randle and I enjoyed it immensely.
Apparently Randle reminded some of LeBron James; those comparisons might be a bit early, but Randle certainly has gobs of potential. He is a young man who could have ended the year as the top ranked player his age were it not for an untimely foot fracture; his averages last year when he started were absolutely ridiculous.

“I don’t see how they can be stopped,” Dominique Hawkins said to the Courier Journal. “Definitely, in pickup games they go at each other. It’s intense. The way they’re going at each other, it’s going to make them better. I compared them to Kobe and LeBron. You could just see it. And they don’t talk stuff; they just go after it.”

Randle will have to lead the way for his squad next year and they enter the year with sky high expectations. Some of those have been self imposed, but the media have not helped in that regard as well.
