Recently read the piece below from USA Today about Andrew Wiggins and it is definitely worth a read.

Wiggins recently dunked the ball with force against Cole Aldrich 10 seconds into the game and it put him into a good headspace.

“That felt good,” Wiggins said to USA Today. “It loosened up my nerves. I’ve never played in front of 30,000 fans before. I can tell (KU students) are loyal fans. It’s been a great vibe since I’ve been here. Everyone in Lawrence has been showing me nothing but love.”

Expectations will be of the national championship variety and Wiggins will have to put up huge numbers to make that happen. It has been said by many analysts that he is the best prospect since Kevin Durant.

It has been a pleasure covering Wiggins here at Rant Sports Prep and I should have a chance to interview him at some point this summer so keep an eye out for that.
