Recently saw the tweet below by Andy Katz and it contained an interesting bit of information concerning Jahlil Okafor and US U-19 Coach Billy Donovan’s opinion of Okafor.

“He’s really, really skilled in the low post” Donovan said to ESPN. “He’s got a big body with a long wingspan. The way we’re playing fast, running and pressing, he’s the guy we can throw the ball inside and he’ll make good things happen. He’s a lot more mature than his age. He’s going to play well with the pick-and-roll. He’s a big, strong kid. We can go high-low with him and he can work his way to the basket. He’s got a good skill level.”
Okafor will definitely draw some double teams which will make things easier for his teammates; he is also an excellent passer so he will make defenses pay for those adjustments. We saw that in his skillfull alley oop recently to budding star Aaron Gordon.
Tony Bennett said he hadn't shot much past 2 yrs. Couldn't tell. Zona's Aaron Gordon & UW's Nigel Williams-Goss were in awe over his stroke.
