Head Coach Shaka Smart Calls Aaron Gordon “Best Pressing Forward I’ve Seen”

Aaron Gordon

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Shaka Smart was recently an assistant to Billy Donovan on the gold-medal winning FIBA USA U-19 team. Smart got to know many of the players quite intimately, and he was particularly impressed with Aaron Gordon.

Smart called Gordon the “best pressing forward I’ve seen” to ESPN’s Andy Katz. “He’s a high-motor guy. He catches lob dunks and flies. He’ll have an immediate impact and help the team win at a high level.”

Gordon was named to the All Tournament team and he now has a gold medal on his resume. He has been compared to Blake Griffin, but we will just have to see about that one.

Andy Katz called him the “real deal” and we will just have to see in the Pac 12 next year.

That is all for today, but check back in tomorrow and we will have your back. For all your college basketball recruiting updates just be sure to be stay tuned in to Rant Sports Prep. If you have any comments, feel free to Rant them below or hit me up on twitter.
