Kentucky Wildcats Seem Slipping in Race For Top Ranked Point Guard Tyus Jones

Tyus Jones NCAA Basketball: Michigan State at Minnesota

Saw the tweet below and it appears that Tyus Jones’ interest in Kentucky Wildcats is slipping. Big Blue Nation would not love that from the young stud point guard. He also happens to be a package recruiting deal with his good friend Jahlil Okafor. This package deal instantly makes wherever they go to college a national contender, so you know there will be quite a lot of press on this.

Jones really light it up in AAU ball this summer and he led the circuit in scoring, assists, and steals. He also managed to pack gyms all around the country while he did it. This momentum will likely put him in contention for many of the national player of the year awards. John Calipari is probably not pleased to hear that his recruiting efforts appear to not be landing with Jones, but then again we are quite far from the young man making a decision so you never know what could happen in the future.

Jones will still visit Kentucky, but it is not yet set in stone when exactly that will happen. Calipari is probably hoping sooner rather than later.
