Okafor will be in the running for many of the national player of the year awards next season and he probably hopes to add a state title to his trophy case as well, but we will just have to see if that will happen. Now that Jabari Parker is no longer in Okafor’s way it is definitely more likely, but Chicago high school basketball is no joke so it is not a foregone conclusion.
In any case it appears the Wildcats are slowly slipping out of this package deal, but after the haul of recruits they had last year it just would not really be fair for them to not share the wealth a little bit right? Of course Big Blue Nation is saying no to that one. But as for me? I say yes.
The Wildcats may miss out on Okafor and Tyus Jones, but there is always an Emmanuel Mudiay to be had as well.
