Whitney Young Center Jahlil Okafor Still Considering Kentucky Wildcats
Whitney Young center Jahlil Okafor will be visiting the Kentucky Wildcats this fall although without Apple Valley point guard Tyus Jones. Whether that means anything is unclear at the moment, but they are visiting the Duke Blue Devils together as their last official visit so take that as you will. It may end up being truly great news for the Cameron Crazies, but they have to take the visit first so stay tuned.

Jones led the EYBL circuit in points, steals, and assists this summer and he should carry that into a senior season where he hopes to bring home another state title for Apple Valley.
Okafor helped lead the US U-19 squad to a gold medal this summer and the young center loves to play with Jones. They became good friends a couple years back, and they now talk almost daily on the phone. Jones is the top ranked point guard in the country according to most outlets, and Okafor tops most center rankings.
John Calipari is probably disappointed Okafor and Jones are not visiting Lexington together, but the ball coach will have to just try and close it one by one. Something tells me the Wildcats are going to miss out on this one, but they seem to have enough talent to get by at the current moment so forgive me if I don’t shed a tear.
