Recently read the excellent interview that Jason Jordan did with former Kansas Jayhawk Mario Chalmers. The young point guard likes the Jayhawks to win the national championship next season, but he would not quite commit when asked if Andrew Wiggins was going to be the best Jayhawk ever. It is hard to be the best at something when you only do it for a year. Even if Wiggins has an unforgettable freshman season he would still be hard pressed to have the best Jayhawk career in history, but that is something that I’m sure he will still strive to achieve. The Jayhawks have had some quality players who will be hard to surpass, but we will just have to see what Wiggins can achieve next season.

Chalmers is gearing up for a championship run of his own, although they will be making the journey for a three-peat without Mike Miller. Shane Battier and Ray Allen should be on board though and it should be a fantastic season of basketball both on the college and professional front.
Wiggins will most likely have to be the Big 12 player of the year for the Jayhawks to reach their full potential, but we will just have to see what happens with Wiggins. Something tells me that he is in for some special things at the college level but it is going to be a wild ride. That is all for tonight folks, but check back in with us tomorrow.
