It has apparently been built up over the years and it could pay dividends for them down the line if the Prime Prep point guard decides to roll with the Bears. It would be quite a surprise, many have said and written that the Kentucky Wildcats are in the lead, but Mudiay’s family seems to think Baylor has a shot.
“The Baylor coaches have really done a great job with him,” Mudiay’s brother Stephane said to
SicEmSports.com. “Coach [Jerome] Tang has really helped him feel comfortable. They’re a fun and cool coaching staff. That’s pretty important.”
Mudiay said last Spring that he was not concerned at all with recruiting this summer, but only on improving his game. That is wise on his part and if the Baylor coaching staff can get a commitment from the Prime Prep point guard, then there will be many cheers in Texas. It helps that he goes to school nearby, and that is likely a draw for his family who could come see him at more games if he goes with Baylor.
