Apple Valley Point Guard Tyus Jones Plays In Under Armour Elite 24 Tonight on ESPNU
Tyus Jones is probably playing in the Under Armour Elite 24 probably as I write this. Wish Rant Sports was in attendance at the game, but travels have kept me away for the moment. Jones is the top ranked point guard in the 2014 class according to most recruiting outlets, although Emmanuel Mudiay has overtaken him lately in some places. That battle will be truly exciting to keep an eye on, and we will just have to see if they flipflop any more in the rankings. jones is a package recruiting deal with top ranked center Jahlil Okafor and they are making three of their official visits together. They would be the best package recruiting deal in NCAA basketball history, so you know we are going to keep an eye on this.

Wherever they go will instantly become next season’s title contender, but it will be more complicated than that once they get on the court. It has to be accounted for that Jones and Okafor have only played on the same team during the summer and going through a full season together is whole different ball game. It will be interesting to see if their friendship can survive a whole year of college ball together, but it looks like we are fixing to find out.
