When Duke Blue Devils commit Jabari Parker and Kansas Jayhawks Andrew Wiggins meet on November 12th it will be more about their personal rivalry than the teams. That is kind of a sad truth, but it is also just the way it goes. Wiggins is only be in college for one year, so his pro rivalry with Parker will actually be the full story that is told but the game on the 12th will be a nice teaser. The only thing we can hope for is that Parker and Wiggins meet in the March Madness tournament as well. If they meet in the Final Four? All the better, but I’m willing to accept a first round game as well if that is what the basketball gods allow.

Whatever happens on the court will likely affect draft stock for both players, but here is hoping that it is just the beginning of what should become our next great basketball rivalry. The game is going to get insane ratings, so be sure to circle your calendar because you are not going to want to miss this one.

Something tells me we are going to remember this game for some time and it will not be because of the teams that are playing, but mainly due to the two young budding stars.
