Low Post Game Will Be Key for Duke Blue Devils Commit Jabari Parker
Jabari Parker is coming to an interesting situation with the Duke Blue Devils next season. He enters a season of play in which the Blue Devils will have championship expectations, and the burden of those expectations will be on Parker’s shoulders. The Blue Devils do not need Parker to necessarily be their leading scorer, but if he is not then definitely the second or third option on offense. He will also be looked to as a facilitator on offense, so it will be interesting to see how his offensive role develops on the team.

In my opinion he is going to be the leading scorer on the team, and that will be aided by his excellent low post game. Parker has nice touch on his perimeter jump shots, but it will be his work on the blocks next season that earns him accolades. Written here in the past that I expect him to win ACC freshman of the year.
The low post may not be the part of his game that is highlighted the most often, but his ability to get his shot off in a half court set will be crucial when the Blue Devils are looking for east points. It also bears noting that Parker will be playing power forward next season so his low post play will be truly crucial. Should be a blast to watch.
