Apple Valley Point Guard Tyus Jones Misses Top Ten of Draft Express's Prospect List

Tyus Jones is the top ranked point guard in the 2014 college basketball recruiting class according to some outlets, but the Apple Valley product missed out on the top ten of Draft Express’ top ten list for 2015 draft prospects. He probably will not lose any sleep though.

Jones has never been the one to listen to the noise, so do not expect this to throw the point guard off his game. If anything it will only motivate him more on the way to hopefully a second state title next season with Apple Valley. Flip Saunders was in attendance last year, so it would be interesting to see who attends next season.

As taller players catch up to Jones’ skill level, he will have to truly compete to score points. That will be a challenge he is ready for though and do not expect Jones to back down to any challenge. He makes his first official visit tomorrow with the Baylor Bears. Jahlil Okafor will be joining Jones, and you can bet we will keep you updated on that.

The recruiting madness has just begun folks, and there is a smell in the air of unlimited possibility. Cannot wait to see what happens, and hope Jones and Okafor have a pleasant trip this week.
