Excellent interview down below with Indiana Pacers forward Paul George, who mentions forward Andrew Wiggins in fairly positive terms, which should not be that surprising considering the last year of basketball. George had an incredible playoffs run last season, and it is my hope that the Pacers can come back even stronger next season and really make the Eastern conference a dogfight to win. Really believe the addition of Luis Scola is an underrated addition, and it my pay dividends in the end. They had really no relable bench help last season, and if Scola can give them a banger down low then it will be just fine with Frank Vogel.

For now, Vogel and the Pacers do not really have to worry about Wiggins. But there will come a time maybe within the next four to five years that the Pacers will be looking at Wiggins standing between them and a chip. George has a healthy respect for Wiggins, but let’s just see if he can’t slowly turn that respect into competitive hatred. It might take some time, but with persistence maybe we can turn this into a legitimate basketball rivalry. In the era of AAU basketball, it does not seem likely, but then again you never know can happen when egos become bruised. Hopefully one of them can bruise the other, and then we can all watch their battles for years to come.
