Whitney Young center Jahlil Okafor had quite an impressive summer coming off the bench and dominating for the US U-19 squad that ended up bringing home a gold medal. He impressed head coach Billy Donovan during the course of the summer, and I bet Donovan is hoping Okafor does not land in the SEC. Just for the sake of not having to play him twice a year. Might be a bit more fun for the coach to watch Okafor’s games on TV and think about the player who he used to coach. Donovan had an excellent coaching performance as well so kudos for that. Also, just for your information Okafor is in Lexington today for all the members of Big Blue Nation.
Jahlil Okafor currently on Kentucky's campus. Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker will arrive later today.

Okafor proved this summer though that his senior season of basketball is essentially gravy. Okafor is ready for the college basketball level, and possibly even the level after that. He will be a dominating force on the low block, and if he does team up with Tyus Jones then the Chicago native will have an elite point guard throwing the ball inside.
The young center wants to make a recruiting decision by early November and with his last visit coming on October 25h that is a likelihood to happen.
