Recruiting Analysts Believe Duke Blue Devils Best Bet to Land Tyus Jones and Reid Travis

The Duke Blue Devils recently offered a scholarship to Tyus Jones’ AAU teammate Reid Travis, and the likelihood they will play together in college is quite high. Many analysts have said from quite long ago that Jones was favoring the Blue Devils, and if the Apple Valley point guard commits there it would be hard to imagine Travis passing up the opportunity to play with Jones again at the college level. It probably also doesn’t hurt that top ranked center Jahlil Okafor is a package recruiting deal with Jones as well, making whatever school Jones chooses doubly attractive if not more so.

The Blue Devils welcome young and hyped forward Jabari Parker to the fold this season, and if the talented forward stays past his freshman year then Duke is going to be absolutely loaded when he comes back for his sophomore campaign. Saw the news recently that they might even play Parker at center for stretches next year, but I’ll believe that when I see it. Something tells me Parker’s health is too important to play him at center, but we will just have to see how things shake out. In the meantime, we will just have to see if the Blue Devils can land Jones and Travis. My money is on it.
