Well the Duke Blue Devils will be in Minnesota visiting top ranked point guard Tyus Jones today and the Kentucky Wildcats go up to bat tomorrow. Wonder if the coaching staffs are staying at the same hotel. The image of that just makes me chuckle a bit. Jones is a point guard out of Apple Valley (MN), and he is a package recruiting deal with top ranked center Jahlil Okafor, so we follow pretty much every movement they make here at Rant Sports Prep. My money is still on the Blue Devils to bring this thing home, but John Calipari can never be underestimated on the recruiting front so I’m remaining openminded about the situation.
Kentucky's first and only confirmed in-home visit thus far is with Tyus Jones tomorrow. Staff making him a priority.

Jones has said he wants to make his recruiting decision by early November and the duo is visiting Durham on October 25th, so you can connect the dots there. The problem for the Wildcats is that they cannot exactly sell having a lot of returning players to recruits and I’m pretty sure Jones and Okafor want to win a national title so they are going to go to the school that gives them the best shot. The Blue Devils are that school simply because Jabari Parker has said he will stay beyond one year. That just might be a game changer to keep an eye on, because a team featuring Parker, Jones, and Okafor would have lofty expectations.
