Note that this does not mean that Jahlil Okafor is going to end up joining the Kentucky Wildcats, but it seems that he was impressed by them last weekend. Okafor must have been especially impressed that John Wall was able to score 40 points in a Wildcats Alumni Charity game, but ultimately it may not prove enough to recruit the Chicago center. Saw the news about the Charity game below and it was quite generous of Wall to lend some of his time to help his old head coach John Calipari.

Okafor is a package recruiting deal with top ranked point guard Tyus Jones, so you know that wherever they go to school will end up getting national media attention. It would be arguably the best package recruiting deal in NCAA history and the combination of Jones and Okafor would be truly devastating at the college level. We can all thank USA basketball for this package deal, because that was when Jones and Okafor first got to play together. That on court relationship blossomed into a very real friendship and it should blossom even more in college. Should be a blast to watch and I for one cannot wait to see it all happen.
