Tyus Jones has had quite a productive summer, quite more productive than me. He’s playing hard ball, and I’ve got to admit… I’m kind of impressed.
All “Old School” references aside, but Jones has been killing it. He led the EYBL circuit in points, assists, and steals and helped Howard Pulley to the Super Showcase title. He then followed that up by winning co-MVP at the Under Armour Elite 24 game in Brooklyn, where the young Apple Valley point guard impressed many. Saw the in the USA TODAY blog by Jones below that he will be making his recruiting decision by November and he is making his last two official visits with good friend and top ranked center Jahlil Okafor over the next couple months.

The two have said they are a package recruiting deal, but their lists have always been a bit different so there is always room for doubt until they are signed on the dotted line. Okafor and Jones will most likely play in college together and if I had to put money on it (or even had any money), then I’d say it is more than likely to happen. Early November cannot come soon enough and in the meantime we will just over dissect every little nugget of information that springs up from the twitter well spring. Stay class San Diego.
