The Duke Blue Devils have officially gone all in on Tyus Jones and it is hard to blame them. Their recent scholarship offer to Reid Travis, Jones AAU teammate, was not unexpected because Travis is a quality player but the timing of it makes you think that the Blue Devils have officially gone all in on the Jones’ experiment. So the coaching staff has hit the recruiting world as tweeted recently by Blue Devil Lair.

Why would they not go all in on Jones? He is a package recruiting deal with top ranked center Jahlil Okafor and they want to make their decision by early November. If you are the Blue Devils, you are doing everything humanely possible to make this happen, because this could be the best package recruiting deal in NCAA history. They have had a busy month so far, but there is a lot more to come this fall.

They make their visit to the Blue Devils on October 25th, so it seems quite clear to me what is happening here. It remains to be seen whether Okafor’s recent visit to Lexington will have any impact on Jones’ opinion, but you can bet that we will keep you updated here.
