Tyler Ulis Recognized During Kentucky Visit Because “It Helps Having Jahlil [Okafor] with You”

Point guard Tyler Ulis was recognized by Kentucky Wildcat fans during his visit and it may just have made the difference in his recruitment. This could end up being huge for the Wildcats program because he could end up being a four year player there.

His father said that “it helps having Jahlil with you”, which is definitely true in that aspect. Saw that in the Ben Roberts tweet below.

Ulis committed to the Wildcats not long after, which likely makes the center Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones package recruiting deal a thing of the past but that still remains to be seen. In any case, Ulis deserves congratulations for securing a college scholarship to an elite level basketball program and we will just have to see if he can turn into Eric Bledsoe 2.0 for the Wildcats.

His showdown with Jones at Peach Jam is definitely worth checking out if you have not seen it yet, then pencil it in for a couple minutes of youtube time later on. These two are going to be battling at the point guard position for some time, and it should be a fun mini-rivalry to keep an eye on. Raymond Felton and Dee Brown comes to mind as an old school example of this. Didn’t see that coming did you? Stay tuned for a piece on Jones later on. Congratulations again to Ulis.

Watch HS Hoops Coach Headbutt Referee

There is absolutely no excuse for this to happen ever. During an argument about a call, Neshaminy (Pa.) high school basketball coach Jerry Devine decided it would be a good idea to headbutt the referee to prove his point. Devine was then ejected from the gym and could now face criminal charges for his actions as well as losing his teaching and coaching job.
