Kansas Jayhawks Bill Self Hoping To Strike Gold In Recruiting Two Years In a Row
Kansas Jayhawks head coach Bill Self has been doing pretty well lately don’t you think? Last summer he sealed the recruitment of Andrew Wiggins, the most highly touted college prospect since 2003. Jabari Parker was recently called by Sports Illustrated as the best high school player since LeBron James and Wiggins was then rated above Parker by most recruiting outlets.
What if KU gets both package deals in the 2014 class with Jahlil Okafor/Tyus Jones and Cliff Alexander/Jaquan Lyle?? I think it will happen.

Self knows how lucky he is, and it is going to be an enjoyable year for him; he even made some comments lately about how coaching in the pros has always been a dream. Not to alert Jayhawk fans, but it is a definite possibility if Self wins another title in Lawrence. For now though Self likes the team he has.
“This is without question the most athletic team we’ve had,” Self said to Sporting News. “But with all that being said, it’s still the youngest team that we’ve had.”
There could be some definite growing pains for this squad, but as Wiggins continues to work with the Jayhawks strength coaches he will continue to get better through the year. In my mind, expect the Jayhawks to be one of the teams left standing come the Elite Eight. Can not wait for this.
